Welcome! I am the bayou gypsy, born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Although I have spread my wings in the great cities of Austin, Seattle and Delray Beach, the bayou state kept calling me back home in 2007. Thank goodness for the pull back home because that is where I met and married my husband, Andrew.
We relocated to 7 acres in Zachary, LA and have started life on a farm. It's the land of bayous, fishing, hunting, four wheelers, trucks, nutria, deer, cows, three rescue pups named Abby James, Dixie and Gypsy, two rescue horses named Sparkle and Freedom, 20 chickens, 2 turkeys named Leroy & Luann and everything else southern.
I have started this personal blog to chronicle our new found farm life, the battles and blessings of our ongoing infertility, our recent adoption and the exciting adventures this bayou gypsy and her cowboy get into on the regular. I dabble in a little bit of everything and will share it all with you one wild ride at a time.
Come wander with me...y'all!

This is my run down of restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries that I visited while in the Pacific Northwest. If you aren’t hungry now, […]
I wasn’t sure how I would feel returning to Washington after so many years. I said goodbye in 2004 and never looked back. Well, until my younger sister Lydia, a U.S. Naval Officer, moved to Poulsbo, WA to work on the USS Nimitz, an aircraft carrier stationed in the Port of Bremerton, WA. Her time […]
It’s been a little quiet here on the blog but that doesn’t mean gypsy life isn’t crazy hectic as usual. I’m in the midst of one of my busiest seasons– the holidays. Me and my cowboy had been so busy with farm projects and juggling work life with our new found farm life that the […]
This past weekend our Team Bayou Baby participated in the Baby Steps 2016 Infertility Awareness Fun Run at Lamar Dixon in Gonzales, LA. This year we finally came out of the infertility closet and have shared with the world our struggles in expanding our family. We have received an incredible amount of love and support from […]
