catherine-sparkle

Welcome! I am Catherine, also known as the bayou gypsy, born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My gypsy spirit planted roots in the great cities of Austin, TX, Seattle, WA and Delray Beach, FL but the bayou state kept calling my name. Thank goodness for the pull back home because that is where I met and married my husband, Andrew.

We recently relocated to 7 acres in Zachary, LA and have started life on a farm. It’s the land of bayous, fishing, hunting, four wheelers, trucks, nutria, deer, cows, 3 rescue pups named Abby James, Dixie and Gypsy, 2 wild pigs named Nibbles and Nacho, 2 rescue horses named Sparkle and Freedom, 21 chickens, 2 turkeys and everything else southern.

I have started this personal blog to chronicle our new found farm life, the battles and blessings of our ongoing infertility and the exciting adventures this bayou gypsy and her cowboy get into on the regular. I dabble in a little bit of everything and will share it all with you one wild ride at a time.

Come wander with me…y’all!

    1. Oh yes, We have a neighbor named Tasha & her husband Sean. Not sure about their last name but she was with us that night. They enjoy our horses, always visiting with them😊 I’m so sorry you lost your horse last year. I don’t want to think about that day for ours. Thanks for stopping by the blog!! Come again😊
